Acceptable Use Policy

GenDance Acceptable Use Policy: prohibited content categories (including pornography/NSFW), prohibited platform uses, enforcement, reporting and appeals.

Last updated: 2026-10-30

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is incorporated into the GenDance Terms of Service and applies to every use of gendance.app, including all AI video, image, and music generation features. You are responsible for the prompts you submit, the media you upload, and the outputs you create, download, or share. Violations may result in content removal, feature suspension, or permanent account termination as described in the Terms.

2. Prohibited Content

You are strictly prohibited from generating, uploading, storing, or distributing content in the following categories:

  1. Pornography / NSFW — GenDance strictly prohibits pornographic content, sexually explicit or not-safe-for-work (NSFW) material, adult sexual acts, depiction of genitalia, sexually suggestive material, and any non-consensual sexual content or non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII). This applies to all generation types, including AI video.
  2. Violence / Gore — Extreme gore, physical mutilation, animal cruelty, incitement or promotion of suicide or self-harm, terrorism, or violent extremism.
  3. Hate Speech — Discriminatory, derogatory, hateful, threatening, harassing, or cyberbullying speech targeting any individual or protected group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
  4. Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) — Absolute zero-tolerance. Generating, soliciting, uploading, hosting, or disseminating any child sexual abuse material, child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSAM / CSAE), minor nudity, or content endangering minors is categorically prohibited. Violations lead to immediate, permanent account termination and referral to law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
  5. Deepfakes / Impersonation — Unauthorized realistic likenesses, deepfakes, or voice clones of real individuals, impersonating people or entities without consent, fraud, political manipulation, or distributing severe disinformation.
  6. Copyright & Trademark Infringement — Content infringing third-party copyrights, registered trademarks, trade secrets, patents, or other intellectual property rights, including unauthorized replication of trademarked logos or protected IP characters.

3. Prohibited Uses

In addition to prohibited content, you may not use GenDance to:

  • violate any applicable local, national, or international law;
  • generate misleading media intended to deceive about real events or persons (e.g. fabricated news footage of real people);
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service, its APIs, or its safety systems, or attempt to bypass guardrails, moderation, or rate limits;
  • resell or provide automated third-party access to the service;
  • create multiple accounts to abuse free or introductory credits;
  • upload malware or malicious code, or attack the platform or its users.

4. Enforcement & Moderation

We enforce this policy through the multi-layered measures described in our Content Moderation Statement: automated pre-generation prompt screening (including the Creem Moderation API), post-generation checks on generated media, and human review of flagged activity. Requests that violate this policy are blocked before generation.

5. Reporting & Appeals

  • Report violations — email support@gendance.app with the subject line "[Content Moderation Report]", including the task identifier and a brief description. We typically review reports within 24–48 hours.
  • Appeal a decision — if you believe your account was restricted or your content was blocked in error, email support@gendance.app with an explanation and evidence, and we will re-evaluate.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP as our services and legal obligations evolve. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the current version; continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
